অ্যাসাইনমেন্ট বা নির্ধারিত কাজঃ

একজন ধানচাষী চটের বস্তায় ধানের বীজ সংরক্ষণ করে বীজতলায় বপন করলে খুব কম সংখ্যক বীজ অংকুরিত হয়। অন্যদিকে একজন দুগ্ধ খামার মালিক বছরব্যাপী তার গাভীগুলোকে কাঁচা ঘাস সরবরাহ করেন । কিন্তু হঠাৎ বন্যার কারণে তার গাভীগুলো মারাত্বক খাদ্য সংকটে পড়ে । উপরোক্ত ধানচাষী ও দুগ্ধ খামারী কী কী ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে বীজ ও ঘাস সংরক্ষণ করলে এ সংকটে পড়তেন না। এ ব্যাপারে তোমার মতামতসহ একটি প্রতিবেদন তৈরি কর…।

ধানচাষীর সমস্যাঃ বীজ ভীষণ অনুভূতি প্রবণ । একটু অসর্তকতার জন্য বিপুল পরিমানে বীজ নষ্ট হয়ে যেতে পারে। এ কারণে একজন ধান চাষী চটের বস্তায় ধানের বীজ সংরক্ষণ করে বীজতলায় বপন করলে খুব কম সংখ্যক বীজ অংকুরিত হয়।

ধানচাষীর ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণঃ ধানচাষী ধানের বীজ সংরক্ষণে যে যে ব্যবস্থা নিলে তিনি সংকটে পড়তেন না তা নিম্নে দেওয়া হলঃ

(১) বীজ শুকানো ও চটের বস্তায় সংরক্ষণঃ তিনি যদি বীজকে রোদে শুকিয়ে আদ্রতা ১২ থেকে ১৩ শতাংশে  আনতেন। অতঃপর বীজগুলোকে চটের বস্তায় বস্তাবন্দি করে গোলা ঘরে রাখতেন । তাহলে  বীজে পোকার উপদ্রব হতো না।

(২) ধান গোলায় সংরক্ষণঃ ধান সংরক্ষণের জন্য ধানের গোলা ব্যবহার করা হয়। বীজগুলো এমন ভাবে ভরতে হয় যেন এর ভিতর কোন বাতাস না থাকে।

(৩) ডোলে সংরক্ষণঃ ধান সংরক্ষণের জন্য ডোল ব্যবহার করতে পারতেন। তবে ডোল আকারে , ধান গোলার চেয়ে ছোট। তাই ডোলের বীজের ধারণ ক্ষমতা কম।

(৪) পলিথিন ব্যাগে সংরক্ষণঃ ৫ কেজি ধারণক্ষমতা বিশিষ্ট পলিথিন ব্যাগে বীজ সংরক্ষন করা হয়। শুকনো বীজ এমনভাবে পলিথিনে রাখতে হবে যেন কোন ফাঁকা না থাকে এবং ব্যাগে কোন বাতাস না থাকে।

(৫) মটকায় সংরক্ষণঃ মটকা মাটি নির্মিত একটি গোলাকার ক্ষেত্র। মটকার ভিতর শুকনো বীজ পুরোপুরি ভর্তি করা হয়। অতঃপর ঢাকনা দিয়ে বন্ধ করে উপরে প্রলেপ দিয়ে বায়ুরোধক করা হয়।

(৬) ধানের বীজ রাখার নতুন পদ্ধতি, ইরি কোকুনঃ বেশ বড় আকারের রাবারের একটি ব্যাগ। ওই ব্যাগের মুখ আটকে রাখলে তার মধ্যে কোনো আর্দ্রতা ঢুকতে পারে না। ফলে সবকিছুই থাকে সতেজ। ব্যাগটির মধ্যে ৪০ থেকে ৫০ মণ ধান রাখা ঘায়। এটাকেই বলা হয় ‘ইরি কোকুন’  ধানের বীজ সংরক্ষণের জন্য খুলনার ডুমুরিয়ার বারাতিয়া ও শরাফপুর গ্রামের কৃষকেরা এখন  ইরি কোকুনে ধান রাখা শুরু করেছেন। ইরি কোকুন হলো বাংলাদেশে ব্যবহৃত বীজ সংরক্ষণে কৃষির সর্বশেষ প্রযুক্তি । এটি একটি ব্লাডারের মতো পাত্র, যেটিতে বীজ রাখলে বড় হয়। এতে বাইরে থেকে বাতাস ঢুকতে পারে না। ফলে বীজে আদ্রতার  পরিমাণ ঠিক থাকে এবং পোকামাকড়েরও কোনো আক্রমণ হয় না। এটি বাড়ির উঠানে রাখলেও রোদ, বৃষ্টি, খরায় বীজের কোনো গুণগত মান নষ্ট হয় না। এই বীজের অঙ্কুরোদ্গম ক্ষমতা   খুব বেশি। এটি ফিলিপাইন, ভিয়েতনামসহ বিভিন্ন দেশে আগে ব্যবহৃত হতো।

দুগ্ধ খামার মালিকের সমস্যাঃ একজন দুগ্ধ খামার মালিক বছরব্যাপী তার গাভীগুলোকে কাচা ঘাস সরবরাহ করেন। কিন্তু হঠাৎ বন্যার কারণে তার গাভীগুলো মারাত্বক খাদ্য সংকটে পড়ে।

দুগ্ধ খামার মালিকের ঘাস সংরক্ষণে ব্যবস্থা গ্রহনঃ দুগ্ধ খামারী যদি ৩টি উপায়ে ঘাস সংরক্ষণ করতেন বা খাদ্য সংরক্ষণ করতেন তাহলে তিনি খাদ্য সংকটে পড়তেন না।

উপায় গুলো নিয়নরুপঃ

(১) হে তৈরির মাধ্যমে সবুজ ঘাস সংরক্ষণ করলেঃ হে তৈরির বিভিন্ন ধাপ গুলো নিম্নে দেয়া হলঃ

• (ক) হে তৈরীর জন্য সিম গোত্রীয় ঘাস যেমন, সবুজ খেসারি ,মাসকলাই বেশি উপযোগী।
• (খ) ফুল আসার সময় গাছ কাটতে হয়।
• (গ) ঘাস রোদে শুকিযে আদ্রতা ১৫-২০% এর মধ্যে রাখতে হয় ।
• (ঘ) ঘাস শুকিয়ে মাচার উপর স্তূপাকারে বা চালা যুক্ত ঘরে সংরক্ষন করতে হয়।

(২) সাইলেজ তৈরীর মাধ্যমে সবুজ ঘাস সংরক্ষণ করেঃ সবুজ সাইলেজ তৈরির ধাপগুলো নিন্মরূপঃ

• (ক) সাইলেজ তৈরির জন্য ভুট্টা ,নেপিয়ার, গিনি ঘাস বেশি উপযোগী।
• (খ) ফুল আসার সময় রসালো অবস্থায় গাছ কাটতে হয়।
• (গ) গাছ কেটে বায়ু নিরোধক স্থানে বা সাইলো পিটে রাখা হয়।
• (ঘ) সাইলো পিটে ঘাস রাখার সময় ঝোলাঞুড়ের দ্রবণ ছিটিয়ে দিতে হয় ।
• (ঙ) তারপর বায়ু চলাচল বন্ধ করার ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করতে হয়।

(৩) খড় তৈরীর মাধ্যমে ফসলের বজ্য সংরক্ষণ করাঃ

আমাদের দেশে বেশির ভাগ কৃষক পরিবারে গরুর জন্য খাদ্য হিসেবে খড় ব্যবহার করা হয়। গরুকে দৈনিক ৩-৪ কেজি শুকনা খড় দেওয়া হয়। এটি আশ জাতীয় খাদ্য। নিম্নে খড় তৈরির ধাপ গুলো দেওয়া হলঃ

• (ক) শস্যগাছ (ধান ,ভুট্টা, খেসারি ইত্যাদি গাছ) ক্ষেত থেকে কাটার পর সেগুলো মাড়াই করে শস্যদানা আলাদা করে ফেলা হয় ।
• (খ) বজ্য গাছগুলো রোদে শুকিয়ে আদ্রতা ১৫ থেকে ২০% এর মধ্যে এনে খড় তৈরি করা হয়।
• গ) খড় সাধারণত গাদা করে রাখা হয় ।
